This notice explains how ZM Studio (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data through this website (zmstudio.co.uk). It covers enquiries, the AI booking assistant, and site analytics on this site specifically — if you go on to book a shoot, your data also becomes subject to the client portal's own privacy policy at portal.zmstudio.co.uk/privacy, which covers bookings, delivery, and invoicing.

Who we are

ZM Studio — Zosim Margaritov trading as ZM Studio, of 37 Huxley Road, London, N18 1NW — is the data controller for the personal data described below. Contact us about privacy matters at info@zmstudio.co.uk.

What we collect

• Enquiry form data — name, email, phone number, postcode, and your message, when you submit the contact or booking-enquiry form.
• AI chat assistant conversations — the messages you send our booking chat widget, plus your IP address, browser user agent, and the page you started chatting from. Used to answer your questions, prepare a quote, and follow up if you ask us to.
• Site analytics — pages viewed, buttons clicked, referring site, and device type (mobile/tablet/desktop). This is first-party — we run it ourselves, not a third-party ad-tech tracker — and isn't tied to your name unless you also submit a form.
• Technical data — IP address and user agent, retained briefly for rate-limiting and abuse prevention on our forms.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

• Responding to your enquiry or chat — necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract (preparing a quote, arranging a shoot).
• Site analytics — our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used and improving it, balanced against your privacy — no cross-site tracking, no ad targeting.
• Fraud/abuse prevention (rate limiting, bot detection on forms) — our legitimate interest in keeping the service usable and secure.

Who we share it with

• Our hosting provider (AWS, London/eu-west-2 region) — infrastructure only, under standard AWS data processing terms.
• If you complete a booking, your enquiry details are passed to the client portal (portal.zmstudio.co.uk) so we can schedule and deliver your shoot — see its privacy policy for what happens from there.
• We do not sell personal data, and do not share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

Enquiry and chat data is kept for as long as reasonably needed to respond and follow up, and is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed. Analytics events are kept in aggregate and are not linked to an identifiable person on their own.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or stop using your personal data, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Contact info@zmstudio.co.uk to exercise any of these. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
