Why ZM Studio's £0 Travel Zone Is North London, Not All of London
We could quote 'London-wide' and mean almost nothing by it. Instead we've drawn a specific, honest line around where we can guarantee the same speed and £0 travel fee — here's why it's shaped the way it is.
Our £0 travel fee and fastest turnaround applies to a specific, named set of postcodes — N1 to N22, NW1 to NW11, EN1 to EN5, and E10/E17 — not 'London' as a vague catch-all. That's a deliberate choice: a studio that promises everywhere equally usually delivers everywhere inconsistently. We'd rather be precise about where we're fastest and cheapest, and transparent about the quoted travel allowance everywhere else, than blur the line and let agents find out the hard way on a booking.

Why We Draw a Line At All
A one-person or small-team studio that claims to cover the whole of Greater London equally is quietly making a trade-off somewhere — either travel time eats into the turnaround promise, or coverage that far out gets deprioritised when the diary is full. We'd rather be upfront: there's a specific area where we can guarantee both the £0 travel fee and our same-day or next-day delivery without compromise, because it's close enough that a booking there doesn't compete with the rest of the week's diary for travel time.
What's Actually Inside the Core Area
Our £0 travel fee zone covers N1 through N22, NW1 through NW11, EN1 through EN5, and the E10/E17 postcodes — North London and the immediately bordering areas. Every one of those bookings gets the same standard turnaround with no travel surcharge, whatever the property size or number of bedrooms.
- ●N1–N22 (North London core, Islington through to Enfield's northern edge)
- ●NW1–NW11 (North West London, Camden through to Golders Green/Hendon)
- ●EN1–EN5 (Enfield borough)
- ●E10 and E17 (Leyton and Walthamstow, the North East London postcodes just across the boundary)
What Happens Outside It
A booking outside the core area isn't refused — it's quoted honestly. Any travel allowance for properties elsewhere in London or beyond is calculated and shown clearly upfront before you confirm, never added as a surprise line item after the shoot. The same photography and editing standard applies regardless of postcode; only the travel fee and, occasionally, the turnaround window change.
💡The rule we hold ourselves to
No hidden fees, anywhere. If travel is chargeable, you see the number before you book — not on an invoice afterward.
Why This Matters More Than It Sounds Like
For an agency running several instructions a week across a specific patch, a studio whose free-travel zone actually overlaps that patch means every booking is the same predictable price and speed — no mental math about which properties will attract a surcharge. That predictability is worth more day-to-day than a nominally 'London-wide' service that's vague about where the catch actually kicks in.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my property definitely inside the £0 travel zone?
If it falls within N1–N22, NW1–NW11, EN1–EN5, or E10/E17, yes. Outside those postcodes, we'll show you the exact travel allowance before you confirm the booking — never as a surprise afterward.
Does coverage outside the core area mean a slower turnaround?
Not necessarily, but it can affect scheduling depending on that week's diary. We'll always confirm the expected delivery window at the time of booking, not after the shoot.
Why not just quote a flat higher rate that includes travel everywhere?
Because most of our bookings are inside the core area and would be paying for travel they don't need. Itemising it honestly, rather than folding an average travel cost into everyone's price, keeps the core-area rate as low as it actually can be.
